Privacy Policy

For student and parent inquiries: name, WhatsApp number, who the tutor is for, class or grade, subject, preferred mode, city or location, and optionally your budget and any additional requirement you describe.

In the Android app, your first Request assistance action sends your contact name and phone number to SahiTutor and records your request to be contacted. You can then add or update lesson preferences, including a learner name, subject, class or learning level, board or curriculum, lesson format, location, schedule, time zone, budget and additional needs. Browsing public profiles does not require you to submit an enquiry.

For tutor registrations: name, WhatsApp number, city, subjects and classes taught, mode, and optionally email, experience, qualification, expected fee, a short introduction and a resume or CV.

We use this information to understand your requirement, contact you about it, look for suitable tutors or students, and review documents submitted for tutor verification. We may contact you on WhatsApp or phone regarding your inquiry or registration.

We share lesson requirements first with tutors we consider suitable. We share a parent's or learner's contact details with a tutor only with that person's agreement. Relevant tutor details may be shared with students or parents we are helping.

The app keeps a saved request and unsent edits in encrypted local storage so you can return to them on the same device. Typing a draft alone does not send its contact details to SahiTutor. Submitted requests remain with us even if you close or uninstall the app; uninstalling does not request server-side deletion.

Opening WhatsApp prepares a message that you choose whether to send. Once you send it, WhatsApp handles that message under its own terms and privacy policy, and SahiTutor may retain the correspondence to handle your request. Tutor registration and profile management are provided through our website, rather than an Android sign-in account.

Our API receives catalogue searches and requests to view public tutor profiles. Hosting and database services may process connection information such as IP addresses, request paths, device or browser information, response status and timing for operation, security and troubleshooting. Search terms can be part of a request path.

We store request identifiers and retry-protection records, and hashed phone/IP rate-limit keys to reduce abuse. These are linkable security records, not a claim of anonymous data. The Android app does not request GPS, contacts, camera or microphone access and does not include an advertising or third-party analytics SDK. A city or locality you type is information you choose to provide.

Submissions are stored in our secured database. Resumes and documents are stored privately and are not publicly accessible. We take reasonable measures to protect your information, but no system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

We do not sell your personal information. We use service providers for hosting, database and messaging, who process data on our behalf. We may disclose information where required by law.

We use Vercel Analytics for aggregate website traffic and performance information. If you allow optional analytics, we also use Google Analytics cookies to measure public-page visits, traffic sources and enquiry actions.

Google Analytics receives a public page path and limited event information, such as a WhatsApp contact click or a successful website enquiry submission. We do not send form answers, phone numbers, names, WhatsApp message text, private profile paths or arbitrary URL query values through this integration. Advertising personalization and Google Signals are disabled.

You can allow or decline optional Google Analytics and change your choice using “Analytics choices” in the footer. Declining does not stop you from using the website or contacting us. A WhatsApp click does not tell us whether you sent a message, and analytics cannot confirm whether an enquiry became a suitable tutoring match.

SahiTutor does not process lesson payments in this Android app or on this website and does not ask for card or banking information. A lesson budget you choose to provide is used to understand your preferences.

To request access, correction or deletion of an enquiry, email contact@sahitutor.com or contact SahiTutor through the app's WhatsApp action. Include your request reference if available. We will take proportionate steps to verify the request before changing or disclosing information. Do not send an identity document unless we specifically explain why it is needed. The app does not offer an automatic delete button.

We retain enquiry information for handling your request, follow-up, support and relevant legal or security needs. When handling deletion, we review the enquiry and linked copies, including correspondence. Restricted backup copies and service-provider records can retain older information under their respective lifecycles. Minimal identifiers may be retained to prevent erased requests being recreated, and restoration must account for completed deletions. Any necessary retention exception will be explained when responding.

The Android app is intended for parents, guardians and learners aged 13 and over. For a learner under 13, a parent or guardian should make the enquiry using their own contact details. Younger learners can receive tutoring arranged by their parent or guardian. Contact us if a child has submitted personal information that needs review or removal.

We may update this policy as SahiTutor develops. The effective date above reflects the current version.
